The MowHawk is ready for it!

An exciting week for the MowHawk, as it is time for installation on the roadside mower! Curious about the progress? Then read on quickly.

The MowHawk in brief

The MowHawk is a smart camera system on the cutter bar of a roadside mower that provides increased biodiversity, circular processing of roadside clippings and insight throughout the entire roadside mowing process. In addition, the MowHawk takes into account insect populations and their habitats by instructing the driver on phased mowing. Through detection via camera, the MowHawk can detect and map invasive exotic species, eliminating them and processing them via a separate mowing operation. The data collected provides insight related to controlling invasive exotic species while promoting biodiversity. At this page you can find more information and a video on how the MowHawk works.

The state of affairs

Recently, we at Datacadabra have been busy further developing the MowHawk to make it ready for delivery. Several tests have been done so that the system can soon run without problems during mowing. So this week it is time for the installation on the mower bar at our installation partner, Wim van Breda. They are currently busy with the preparations so that in the course of the week the installation can be done and completed. Testing will then be done with the system to make sure everything works and to calibrate the system. Once this is done, the MowHawk will be ready to start mowing in the coming weeks!
