LivUp is a start-up created to shake up the housing market. By providing a platform where there is information about all homes in the Netherlands, LivUp aims to create an "open" market.

Demand

The housing market in The Netherlands is uncoordinated and far from transparent, with currently a severe shortage of housing. To bring the housing market back into balance, the demand has arisen for a solution that provides everyone with equal access to housing market information. In this way it is of interest to everyone, not just home sellers and buyers.

The process

To bring the housing market back to its core, we looked at all the elements a home contains and how best to display them in a clear and accessible way.

Data

Datacadabra started collecting data on the year of construction, plot size, house size, number of rooms, garden location and energy label of all homes in The Netherlands. In addition to all the information about the homes themselves, data was also collected about the region and neighborhood where the homes are located to get an overall picture.

Services

These data elements form the variables for an algorithm designed by Datacadabra. The results of the algorithm provide one clear and objective score per house (the so-called NWI score). This creates a complete and objective overview per home of all homes in the Netherlands: the National Housing Index (the NWI).

Feedback

This housing information is made accessible to everyone via a website and an app.

The result

LivUp is the platform that clearly displays all homes in the Netherlands. This unique working method has created both insight into the total housing stock and a digital housing file of each home. This can be kept up to date by the homeowner himself. In this way, all housing information is freely available to everyone and supply and demand are better matched. LivUp is a real-time platform and is thus updated monthly to make developments and improvements.
